Paternoster is a picturesque little town on the West Coast of South Africa.  Having your wedding at the 5 star Strandloper Boutique Hotel is an experience to cherish and hold for the rest of your life.  We, as wedding musicians and guests at this weekend’s wedding, were totally spoiled rotten.

On arrival we received our keys to our most luxurious room, then settled in and went round to set up,  to play for Andi and Marie’s wedding.  As it was a bit rainy and West-Coast-Windy, the ceremony took place at the Presidential Suite.  A cosy and warm atmosphere was created by loads of lanterns with burning candles and of course… Duo Decadence wedding music 😉

We played the couple in on “You Raise Me Up” – a song we specially arranged for violin and clarinet for the big day.

The guests and all the service providers formed part of the celebratory party and stayed for dinner, a sleep over in this luxurious hotel and breakfast the next morning.  We were treated as kings and queens and will never in our lives forget this weekend at Paternoster!

Thanks Andri and Marie for the absolute best treatment, for making us feel welcome, for looking after all our possible needs, for including us in your journey of life.

It was great to provide live wedding music for your wedding and to know that all your guests enjoyed and appreciated our music.  Thanks to those guests who stopped by to discuss repertoire, to suggest more music and simply those of you who showed interest in our careers as musicians.  Yes, we’ve come a long way and this weekend I once more realised how passionate we became about soulful music, wedding music and building memories by playing the violin and clarinet at weddings.

We are looking forward to our next function on 10 August, a wedding just outside Robertson on 17 August and a wedding on 31 August in Hout Bay.
